Week 3: Personal Fitness Safety and Injury Prevention

Hi Everyone! Welcome to week 3 of personal fitness. Make sure you are continuing to workout each day and that you are keeping a healthy diet. As always if you all have any questions email me if you would like at Yolanda.rogers@cobbk12.org.

Monday - Read through the PowerPoint for chapter 2 that is posted in the Google classroom. Once you have completed your reading just mark as complete.

Tuesday - In the Google classroom you will find an exercise contract. Find someone near you who will hold you accountable for working out daily and push you to be your best self. Remember that you should be getting at least 45 mins of physical activity each day or a complete workout. Be specific on your contract about what you will do. Remember I should see FITT in your work without you writing out FITT. I should see the type of exercise you are doing, how long you will do it, how hard you will work, and how often you will complete that exercise. You may also make goals about your diet. Be SPECIFIC. Do not say you will drink more water. Say you will drink 4 bottles of water each day. Be specific about everything you will do. Your contract should include physical fitness goals and/or diet goals. Due Friday.

Wednesday - Make sure you are working out each day and keeping a healthy diet. Continue reading through the PowerPoint for chapter 2.

Thursday - You do not have much work to turn in for Personal Fitness this week. Use this week to catch up on other assignments. Make sure you are keeping up with your work for all of your classes.  Make sure you are working out each day and keeping a healthy diet. Continue reading through the PowerPoint for chapter 2.

Friday - Be sure to update your physical activity worksheet and your progress tracker worksheet. You will be posting these soon so I can see how you are doing so make sure they are up to date. You should be making your workout plan for week 3 this week. By Friday update your worksheets with your plan to stay healthy during Spring break and set some specific and personal goals that will benefit you.

Personal Fitness Week 2: 3/23/20 - 3/27/20

Monday - Work on chapter 1 review worksheet located in the Google Classroom. Make sure to study your PowerPoint and be ready for a test later this week. Your chapter 1 worksheet is due by Wednesday. All answers can be found in the PowerPoint. Go workout for at least 45 mins or do a complete workout. Last week you planned workouts for this week so go do some.

Tuesday - Do not forget to workout. Remember you should be getting at least 45 mins of exercise everyday or a complete workout. Develop workouts that you can do right there in your homes or go for a jog around your neighborhood making sure to stay at least 6 feet away from others.

Wednesday - Look up healthy meals. Look up a healthy, a healthy lunch, health snacks, and a healthy dinner. This will help you later when you have to plan a healthy diet for a week. This will also help you all start to think about healthy eating which is the main step in weight loss and being healthy. Go workout. Get at least 45 mins of physical activity.

Thursday - Take a look at the PowerPoint example of a portfolio posted in the Google Classroom. This is only an example to give you all an idea of what you are working toward. You may do your portfolio in any online format that you would like. You may use Word, PowerPoint, Prezi, Google slides, Google docs, Website, etc. Whatever you would like.

Friday - If a quiz is posted this week make sure it is done by today. Update your physical activity sheet and progress tracker sheet for next week. Remember on the progress tracker sheet you  need to update the right side and state what you accomplished, is still working on, or didn't start. List two specific goals for next week on the progress tracker. Go workout.
